Barnaigh heifers hit 3800gns high

A draft sale of heifers from P Scott Taylor’s Barnaigh herd completed the Shorthorn action at Stirling in May and was led at 3800gns by the April 2021-born Barnaigh Lovely Xquisite. This two-year-old is by Cairnsmore Kickass Jack and out of the Glengoy Dollar daughter, Barnaigh Lovely Xquisite 7th. She found a new home with T and R Harper and Son, Skirling, Lanarkshire.

Following behind at 3200gns was another heading to the same new home, Barnaigh Duchess 2nd. Another two-year-old heifer, she is again by Kickass Jack and this time out Chapelton Duchess 5175, a Stonehills X Factor daughter.

Then selling at 2800gns was Barnaigh Lovely Jade. Again April 2021-born, she is another by the Cairnsmore sire and this time out of Shawhill Lovely Jade, herself a Burnside Elite daughter. Buying this one was J D M Thomson, Lockerbie.
