Notice of the Beef Shorthorn Cattle Society AGM on Sunday, 14 March 2021

Due to an error at the Post Office and subsequent delays as a result of the adverse weather conditions and the Covid 19 pandemic, a number of members either received later than they would otherwise have done, or did not receive at all the Notice for the Beef Shorthorn Cattle Society Annual General Meeting (AGM) which was due to take place on Sunday, 14th February 2021. As a result, the Board has decided to postpone the AGM to Sunday, 14th March 2020 to allow further time for members to consider the Notice and return their Voting Forms.

The Notice for the Beef Shorthorn Cattle Society Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on Sunday, 14th March 2021 at 12 noon together with a copy of the minute of the 2020 Annual General Meeting (Unapproved) and a Voting Form for this year’s AGM are available to download from the Governance section of our downloads page https://www.beefshorthorn org/downloads and will also be posted to all Members.

Please note, if you have already returned your Voting Form your vote has been cast and you are not required to complete this form again. If you do complete and return a further Voting Form the later Voting Form will be treated as your vote.

Whilst our preference would have been to hold the meeting face-to-face, Covid 19 guidelines necessitate this AGM being held via a Zoom video conference. If you have already expressed your intention to virtually attend the AGM, you do not need to do anything further and Ellie will send you a rescheduled diary invitation with the updated details of the AGM. If you have not yet expressed your intention and would like to attend virtually, please register with Ellie by sending an email to ellie@beefshorthorn.org and she will forward you the Zoom link required to join the meeting closer to the time.

Any questions you would like to raise at the meeting this year have to be submitted in advance and no later than Friday, 5th March 2021 in order for a precise reply to be given during the meeting. If you have already submitted questions there is no need to resubmit them.

There will not be an opportunity for questions to be raised within the virtual meeting itself and voting will be conducted only by post/email using the Voting Form accompanying this letter.
